Those Years Spent with Gin

Eileen Chang once said, "If you knew who I was in the past, you would forgive who I am now."

Jiang Xiaofeng had a favorite character from the anime world: Gin. She thought the quote would suit him perfectly.

Thanks to a piece of jade worn for protection, Jiang Xiaofeng crossed over from the real world into the anime world. Gin could see her, but he couldn't touch her.

At their first meeting, Jiang Xiaofeng was trembling uncontrollably. Gin immediately raised his gun and fired at her, but the bullet passed through her body and lodged in the wall behind her.

Since physical attacks did zero damage, Jiang Xiaofeng got carried away. "Silly human, do you know why you can't hurt me? Because I'm a fairy. Physical attacks don't work on me."

After an accident gave Jiang Xiaofeng a physical body, she curled up behind the sofa and spoke in a nervous, ingratiating voice. "Your Highness Gin, Brother Gin, Master Gin, we've been together for three years, after all. Calm down. Let's talk this out."

Gin gave a wicked, icy smile and once again pulled his beloved Beretta from inside his coat, aiming it at Jiang Xiaofeng...

From then on, to stay alive, Jiang Xiaofeng went from calling herself a fairy to becoming a maid.
