[Detective Conan] My One and Only

Fushimi Ai has a handsome childhood friend with blond hair and dark skin. She's been in love with him for years and decides to confess on the day he graduates from the police academy. But her plan is put on hold when her father dies, and by the time she has hastily settled her family's affairs, the number saved as speed dial "0" has been disconnected.

To investigate the truth behind her father's death, Fushimi Ai becomes a private chef after graduating at the top of Totsuki. She quickly makes a name for herself among the wealthy and powerful. For protection, she hires her older cousin's kept man as a bodyguard and sous-chef, paying him double his usual rate. She brings his adorable son along when she visits clients to cook, and can even chase away certain troublesome suitors.

But she never expected that one day, when she resorted to her old trick of stroking Megumi's bristly black hair and asking him to call her Mommy, she would run into the childhood friend who had been missing for years.

Bourbon goes to gather information and runs into his childhood friend, whom he hadn't had time to confess to because of his undercover mission. He's so shocked that he almost blows his cover right in front of Rye, the person he hates most.

I've only been undercover for three years. Why does the girl I like have a four-year-old child now?

Why did she change the speed dial for "0" to that man's number?

What does she see in a guy who's inferior to him in every way except his physique?!

Reader's Note:

1. Inspired by the Japanese drama Saiai. I just wanted to write some melodramatic romance.

2. The male lead is definitely Toru, unless something unexpected happens.
