After My Ex-Boyfriend Turned into a Monster

After a virus leak at the laboratory, Jiang Lin lost three years of his memories.

So he couldn't understand why he was being kept under guard in a hospital in the name of treatment. Why everyone had suddenly started looking at him with pity and sympathy. Or why his wrists and ankles were covered in so many purple bruises.

Not until he was taken to a psychiatric hospital.

On the other side of the double-pane glass sat the senior who had gently confessed his feelings to Jiang Lin at graduation three years ago. His faint, warm smile was just as before.

"You've lost weight. Haven't you been eating properly?" Jian Feng asked with a smile.

Jiang Lin couldn't remember a thing, but instinct made him go cold all over and tremble uncontrollably.

The doctor told Jiang Lin that he had once been imprisoned for seven months. If the laboratory leak hadn't happened, he would have become a pet kept at home forever.

His boyfriend had locked him in a well-decorated "nest," brought him food and water, and made Jiang Lin carry his child.

Jiang Lin was pitiful.

But as the only mentally sound employee of the Deep White Laboratory, and the only one who had been involved from beginning to end, he had to give the company's executives and the government a reasonable explanation for the leak.

Or take responsibility for the laboratory's billions in investment.

Under the glare of the media's cameras and the investigators' relentless questioning, Jiang Lin got into the car of the person in charge, who had come to handle the matter.

It was raining that day. The strange, indifferent man handed him a handkerchief. "Wipe yourself off."

Jiang Lin hesitated for a moment, then took it.

But he didn't see his ex-boyfriend in the building behind him, ignoring the two escorting doctors' reprimands as he stood in the corridor with a faint smile on his lips.

[I] will take good care of Jiang Lin.

Forever.

[Cthulhu-related. The final pairing is with a Hound.]
