[Western Crossover] Flying Around the Sun

[Early work, heavily influenced by film and television when it was first written, and not very polished overall]

What makes a superhero worthy of the name?

Audrey did not know the answer until the explosion happened.

---Her world was torn apart by war, dark, and chaotic. She and a Kryptonian had depended on each other in a laboratory, never having seen the sun. Then someone rescued them and told them that their universe was a mistake, one known as "Flashpoint."

So, to reboot everything that had gone wrong, Audrey sacrificed herself at dawn.

Her consciousness drifted through the universe.

She saw tears fall onto the ashes from a figure in a blue uniform. A black bat lay in the middle of a battlefield. A red bolt of lightning took a letter and ran as fast as it could. The universe began to shine with dazzling light.

Everything was successfully rebooted. Audrey opened her eyes once more and discovered that she still remembered that universe. She had been reborn.

What makes a superhero worthy of the name?

Is it great power, an unwavering commitment to justice, like-minded companions, or a fated enemy?

Audrey already knew the answer.

She would change everything she had once been powerless to alter. She would fly freely through the sky and race toward the sun in the warmth of daylight.

---Bonus Scene---

Gotham's Knight: You care about Kryptonians more than I expected. Is it because of Flashpoint, or something else?

Audrey flew up and tugged at his cheek. You're nowhere near as adorable as the little angel Brucie Thomas talks about!

Warnings: The heroine is a native of the DC Flashpoint universe and is reborn in the main universe.

The timeline is a mishmash, with an excessive number of original settings. Anything could be crossed over.

The heroine is not really a character who undergoes a major transformation, though she does grow. The story has a serious tone, blending comics and movies. The protagonist takes a few hits now and then, but she will win.

The pairing is with Superman, and the ending is happy.

Upcoming story, "[Western Crossover] The Necromancer of the Sanctum Sanctorum" synopsis:

To defend against a crisis from another universe, the current Sorcerer Supreme of the Sanctum Sanctorum pondered for a long time before finally deciding to borrow power from the Dark Dimension.

Ready to make the ultimate sacrifice, he drew a forbidden summoning circle in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

A deathly, icy abyssal presence spread all around. A figure in a black robe slowly emerged from the circle, its voice seeming to come from a burial ground:

"Young human who sells his soul to summon darkness, what is the wish you ask of death... A little one from the Vishanti line?"

The sorcerer had not yet recovered from the deathly, terrifying aura when he was slapped across the face. What?

The evil creature he had summoned pulled back its hood, revealing the furious face of a woman whose eyes were the same color as his. "Why would a Vishanti sorcerer summon darkness for no reason? Do you have any idea how many bizarre things just tried to poke their heads through? If They were still around, you'd have angered Them into descending in person!"

At first, the doctor living in the Sanctum Sanctorum thought about one thing every day: How could he send this necromancer, with her appalling lifestyle, complete lack of common sense, and extremely intimidating air, back where she came from?

Later, as a tide of undead swept across the world and drove the alien army beyond the solar system, the doctor's question changed: How could he trick her into staying?

---Bonus Scene---

"These cultists are trying to sacrifice hostages to an evil god called Brandasotophia... In a dead language, the name seems to translate as Pale Feast. What's wrong?" the sorcerer said.

"...I think I'm the one they're trying to sacrifice," Minerva replied with difficulty.

The sorcerer was silent for a moment. "So are you going to go accept the offering, or what?"

"No need." Minerva patted him on the shoulder. "One offering like you is enough."

Necromancer heroine x Strange. The timeline is a mishmash, and there are mountains of original settings. Anything could be crossed over.
