[Classics Crossover] On the Compatibility of Consulting Detectives and Investigators

Sherlock Holmes once believed the world's logic was precise and simple, like a chain of laws. By observing just one link, he could glimpse the truth.

Until 1886, when he happened to meet a woman who called herself an investigator.

After glimpsing the world's darker side, Holmes suddenly felt that he might never retire.

“The world is chaotic, mad, disorderly, and hopeless, Mr. Holmes.” Cynthia Ingram smiled faintly at him as maddening whispers echoed from the depths of the cave. “You should turn back.”

“On the contrary, Miss Ingram,” Sherlock replied softly, tightening his grip on his cane. “I think we yearn for the same thing.”
