Files on Unusual Incidents

After returning to his hometown and taking part in a strange sacrificial ceremony, Qiao Yu suddenly became a "tasty morsel" to ghosts and monsters. Every one of them wanted a bite.

To stay alive, Qiao Yu released Ming Heyu, a thousand-year-old demon, and had him sign a contract to protect him.

Qiao Yu: The great demon in my heart is powerful, reliable, and handsome.

The great demon in reality: Tsundere, narcissistic, and unbelievably hard to deal with. He says "mere" this and "hmph" that. Today he sheds feathers, tomorrow he's drunk. He never runs out of snacks but has no savings, and even as a baby bird he stands with his wings on his hips and his head held high.

Ming Heyu had slept for a thousand years. When he woke, the world had changed beyond recognition.

The decline of cultivators and demons, the emergence of superpowered people, and the impact of modern civilization couldn't stop him from acting like a badass.

To restore his demonic powers and make up for the regret he'd long carried in his heart, he stayed by Qiao Yu's side for extra meals, uh, to help deal with unruly demons and ghosts.

From prophecies of the world's destruction, to ghosts lurking on campus, to monsters raised by humans... he could handle them all with ease.

Reader's guide:

1. Episodic story with horror scenes, but the CP stays sweet.

2. There's angst in the past life, but no angst in this one.

3. Most of the paranormal and superpower elements are made up by the author. The fictional worldbuilding is extensive, so don't take it seriously.
