A Guide to Raising Desert Mermaids [Livestream]

As a mermaid keeper, how do you raise a mermaid in the desert?

In the interstellar age, a desolate planet is a dead world, no better than a garbage planet. That is, until one day, a human streamer arrives with a mermaid, hoping to find an oasis and a chance at life.

No water to raise a mermaid? Start with a fish tank.

Can't get a shelter through a sandstorm? Build a territory.

Can't beat a giant star beast? Pilot a mech.

Then the mermaid goes into heat and that other phase.

Chi Yue: Nope.

The keeper becomes the planet's lord and builds one oasis home after another. Rare species sit in neat rows, and the withered planet comes alive again.

Only the survival-minded viewers and the meal-time check-in crowd are left bewildered.

[You might not believe it, but at first the streamer only wanted to keep one mermaid alive]

But the mermaid is gone, and all that's left is a dog of a man with two legs.

Mermaid enthusiast Chi Yue: Where's that huge, beautiful fish tail of mine?

The planet lord's family keeps growing. At last, she leaves the desert and sees the sea, only to be greeted by a whole crowd of aquatic creatures, like a talent show audition.

Beside her, the mermaid says calmly, "It's fine, you can keep them. The fish tank is so big, after all. It won't make a difference if there's one more fish in it."

Chi Yue: I didn't, I haven't, just hear me out...

"Natural Disasters: I Have an Animal Island"

What do you do with your pets when disaster strikes?

In Bai Yuexi's dream, she and all her adorable pets die when the disaster first hits.

To keep the nightmare from coming true, she stocks up on supplies, reinforces her basement, modifies her car, and even builds a doomsday fortress at home, figuring she can just lie low for as long as possible.

But a week later, disaster strikes, and all her little animals mutate.

Her petite calico cat keeps growing until it becomes a white tiger mount.

Her unruly flying squirrel can turn invisible in an instant. Her timid pink corn snake becomes a bracelet with a storage space. Even her sharp-tongued parrot gains a limited-use word-spirit ability.

And Grandpa Tortoise, who is older than she is, simply carries the entire house away.

And she can copy the abilities of every animal in her home.

Bai Yuexi: Looks like I might not die this time?

Heat waves, floods, ice storms, insect swarms, meteor viruses...

A world of natural disasters, steeped in despair, teeters on the brink of collapse.

Legend has it that a mysterious house appears in different places without warning. It is the most impregnable fortress in the apocalypse, and one of the hopes for ending the disasters.

But this paradise for mutated animals has stricter entry requirements than the human survival bases. Few people have made it inside, but plenty of animals have successfully joined the owner.

Someone who's already claimed the center stage: Don't believe rumors or spread them. I'm willing to trade on my good looks, too.

Bai Yuexi looks down and rubs a fluffy fox ear. "Wait, are you a dog or a fox?"

Someone: Either works.

PS: The male lead's ability is to transform into animals.

Lu Qi licks her lips and thinks: Either I've gone mad, or the world has.

The world is corrupted, and humanity has lost its home. People can only choose between living in contaminated zones full of monsters and risking their lives in deadly games.

She Nian's team specializes in the games, and most of its members are dungeon players.

The only catch is that this darling doesn't seem quite right in the head.
