Summer Lemon

“Why do you like me?” she asked with a smile, lifting her face. “I've always wanted to ask: is there anything special about me?”

“I like you because I like you. There's no cause, no reason. No matter what you're like, even if you lose your beauty one day, I'll still love you!” His eyes held hers, taking in every expression and committing them all to memory, not letting a single one escape!

She was a little stunned, a little surprised. She had thought he would say all kinds of sweet things and list her virtues, how cute, beautiful, and kind she was. But she never expected him to say there was no cause, no reason. “I like you because I like you! No matter what you're like!” Such simple, plain words, and yet they moved her so deeply.

City life is like a pomegranate: glossy on the outside, rich within, a little sweet, a little sour, and a little tart. City romance is much the same. Though colorful and ever-changing, it is not as fresh, sweet, and touching as a lemon. If you can put aside vanity and greed and learn to be content, you too can have a love like a lemon: sweet and sour, fresh and moving...

Ding Xiaoqi is a girl like a lemon, fresh and sweet, content with a simple, peaceful life. But then she meets two boys who both love her deeply, and her life is never simple again. In the end, can she find a love as sweet and sour as a lemon and return to her quiet life? Wait and see!
