The Useless Omega's Guide to Seducing Men

Tu Gou was born with blocked glands and written off as a useless Omega. On top of that, he was stupid and shabby, so his classmates affectionately called him Little Mutt.

Then one day, a countdown banner appeared above his head. A voice in his mind told him it showed how much time he had left to live. To increase his remaining time, he had to earn the favor and affection of powerful people around him every day.

Tu Gou might be useless, stupid, and shabby, but he wanted to live. So he spent three nights studying The Handbook for Winning Over Close Friends, then, dark circles under his eyes, approached the targets the System had assigned him.

Target No. 1: the Iceberg Immortal Alpha, who never speaks more than three words at a time.

Target No. 2: the short-tempered, flashy Fire Dragon Alpha, who can smash the school's mecha guards with a single punch.

Target No. 3: the sinister, unhinged beauty of an Alpha, with deep bloodstains on his wrists and neck.

Tu Gou swallowed nervously, took two steps back, and finally looked toward Target No. 9, who seemed the most normal and levelheaded of the bunch, and had once helped chase off the people bullying him: an Alpha with a warm smile, noble elegance, and a strong sense of justice.

Tu Gou flipped open the handbook and glanced at it. "...Classmate He, have some candy."

System: Uh, you used the wrong skill. [Have Candy] is for Target No. 3, the sinister, unhinged one. He Xuezhou has everything he could want and everyone fawning over him. He doesn't need this.

Sure enough, under Classmate He's elegant, gentle gaze, Tu Gou saw confusion and disdain. He took another look at the skill description for Classmate He: [High Looks, Tall, Powerful, Well-Rounded, Top Student, War God, One of a Kind, A Rare Omega].

"...Oh, sorry, I gave it to the wrong person." Awkwardly, Tu Gou took back the candy and turned to approach another target.

Later, at a high-level conference on the Empire's secret weapon, He Xuezhou stepped in front of someone and asked in anguish, "Little Mutt, how can I make you come back?"

Tu Gou expressionlessly brushed his hand aside and walked away with firm strides.

Notes:

1. Tu Gou's uselessness has a special cause: he's a hidden gem, a treasure of the Empire. So this story could also be called The Awakening of a Useless Omega.

2. Romance and power progression. Tu Gou evolves, levels up, and awakens some of his abilities with every target he wins over.

3. Probably a case of falling for someone after all, plus a groveling redemption arc.

Theme: Everyone deserves to live a happy life.
