Coming Soon: Kusuko Gets the Overworked Office Employee Plotline

Blurb

[In a nutshell: A disaster caused by playing a popular game!]

Saiki transmigrated.

Reason for transmigrating: She played a hit game called Bonten.

In theory, she and a popular game that she refused to spoil herself for had nothing in common.

But the store clerk was so enthusiastic, and the game was a free raffle prize. They insisted it would improve her taste in games and help put an end to her habit of buying terrible games over and over again as a form of self-torture.

After spending a great deal of energy and brainpower on obscure games and finally beating one, Saiki, in a good mood, played Bonten.

She set the game on the overworked-office-employee route and chose Kokonoi Hajime, the least troublesome option, as her boss. Saiki did indeed get to experience the game's perfect gameplay for a while.

Then, when her progress toward becoming the boss's best subordinate reached fifty percent, she quit.

Reason for quitting: Saiki had learned what office workers did every day. There was no need to mechanically experience something she already understood.

And then, later on, she transmigrated.

Looking at her boss, Kokonoi, speaking to her,

Saiki, who had still been a college student the day before: [You really can't play popular games.]

*

Question: How can she return to her normal college-student life and quit this real-life Bonten office-worker experience?

Answer: Earn her boss's approval and reach one hundred percent progress as the best subordinate.

As she worked toward her goal, she kept receiving recruitment offers from other executives, the second-in-command, and even the boss's subordinates.

Not only that, she also received offers from the Special Division for Unusual Powers, the Armed Detective Agency, and Sigma, the casino manager.

Saiki really wanted to ask: [Is there no other possibility for me besides being an overworked office worker?]

Content Warnings:

1. Pairing undecided, but leaning toward Bonten.

2. Lighthearted, slice-of-life story.

Theme: When disaster strikes, running away won't help. Face it head-on!
