In the year 1608 of the Star Era, technology advanced rapidly across the star systems, and humanity evolved into beastfolk through a return to their animal origins.

From then on, no pure-blooded humans remained in the Star Era.

But one day, Tao Tao transmigrated to the Star Era, becoming the only human on a planet ruled by beastfolk.

Seeing the mighty beastfolk around her, all with hard claws and sharp fangs, Tao Tao's eyes welled with tears, and she began to sob in fear.

The unfamiliar beastfolk saw the weak little Tao Tao, with no sharp teeth or tough hide, and assumed she was a pitiful abandoned cub.

So they did a good deed and took her to an orphanage.

Before long, Tao Tao, now living at the orphanage, met a kind Mr. Snake.
