Xu Shulou has a dream in which she is a character in a strange storybook. The story's male lead is a man with the destined-to-be-a-hero script. Fortuitous encounters and treasures all fall into his hands, and every beautiful woman in the world falls for him. The first female lead is Xu Shulou's meek junior sister. The second is the Demon Clan's holy maiden. The third... the fourth... Where does Xu Shulou fit in? She reads through the plot and discovers that, as the hero's official fiancée, she's nothing but a sacrificial extra.
