One morning, Mi Guo picks out an octopus that doesn’t look very “fresh” from a newly delivered batch of seafood, planning to try something with it.

Octopus balls? Seafood hot pot with octopus? Octopus and potato cakes? Whatever she makes, the kid next door is going to drool!

Mi Guo ties on her apron, gets the seasonings ready, and picks up a kitchen knife. She blinks, and the octopus she just washed has disappeared...

Zhang Yu: Hah, mortal.

Zhang Yu: I am the Lord of the Eastern Sea. Apart from my name, what about me looks like an octopus?

[Three Realms Gossip Gazette]

According to an informed source, while the Lord of the Eastern Sea was injured and stranded, a mortal took the opportunity to imprison him at home and “laid hands on him,” forcing him to bathe and even threatening to gobble him up!
