Sports Romance Doesn't Play It Straight [Ace of Diamond]

Adult-version alternate route for this work: "Midnight Tokyo" Sawa and Miyuki were both handsome catchers from baseball powerhouses. When they met, Sawa was taller than him, had better athletic instincts, looked better in his uniform, and received more Valentine's chocolates. Wherever she went, everyone rallied around her. When you meet at fifteen, it's love at first sight. For them, it was love at first sight and instant obsession. Over the past two years, Miyuki had only beaten Sawa at one thing: height. He had also beaten her once on the field, growing two centimeters taller and securing the starting catcher's spot before her. But it didn't matter, because she had made a rule: she'd only date someone who could beat her one-on-one at basketball. Plenty of athletic guys thought they could do it and showed up to challenge her, only to get crushed, along with a slew of basketball teams from around Tokyo. The strongest catcher of his generation: out of luck. * Sawa was a famous diamond queen, but once the dashing young woman left the field, she was just a goofy grade-schooler who bounced around everywhere. She had thought some people were simply incompatible, but little by little, she and Miyuki started walking around with their arms over each other's shoulders. Whether they were doing a three-legged race at Sports Day or going to Koshien together, their steps grew more and more in sync. Sawa began to think that perhaps she and Miyuki were siblings, with different mothers and fathers. Until... "...I thought of you as a buddy, but you want to date me?!" * Strongly recommended that anyone who knows baseball avoid reading this. I don't want to make you angry enough to drop dead. * In this story, Seido has a girls' baseball team. * You can read this as an original story. The plot and romance are split forty-sixty. * The heroine is energetic and loved by everyone she meets, a silly girl with no romantic obsession. One-on-one pairing. * Only sports anime and shoujo manga; mainly Ace of Diamond. * See my profile for other sports anime fanfiction.
