To escape her family's frantic matchmaking, Ning Nanju impulsively married a man she'd met only once.

On their wedding night,

Ning Nanju looked at the man's sharply defined features and cool expression in the lamplight, steeling herself as she repeated their premarital agreement.

“We sleep in separate rooms.” She was firm.

The man took off his watch, his lowered lashes concealing the dark currents in his eyes.

“We're only married on paper. We won't interfere in each other's private lives.” She continued.

His long fingers hooked around his tie and tugged it loose, unhurriedly.

“When we meet our families, we have to act like we're in love. We can't, ” Her gaze fell on his disheveled collar. A glimpse of a tattoo showed on his collarbone, like a chain locked around his neck.

He took off his suit jacket. His shirt clung to his perfect physique, revealing the aggression hidden beneath his refined exterior. He was like a beast shedding its human skin.

Elegant and sensual, made to be ravished.

The rest of Ning Nanju's words caught in her throat.

She swallowed, her eyes as sincere and innocent as a rabbit's. “Mr. Xiao, you must have misheard the first rule.”

They were newlyweds. Perhaps she could have a wonderful night after all...

At first, Ning Nanju thought so too.

Until Mr. Xiao caught her getting acquainted with a young heartthrob at a bar, ruined her chance to meet a handsome pianist at a banquet, and stopped a college heartthrob from hitting on her at the beach

Ning Nanju angrily grabbed his collar. “Didn't we agree not to interfere in each other's lives?”

Xiao Yansheng loosened his tie, wrapped it around her slender, pale wrist, and tied a neat knot.

His lashes lowered and the corners of his lips lifted. He was devastatingly sexy.

He gave a casual, low laugh. “You said that. I never agreed.”

Ning Nanju, now restrained: “!!!”
