My Game Character Came to Life

[The game setting is the online game Jian Wang 3. This is a Cangjian and Huajian pairing. The story is entirely fictional and not based on any real person.]

Xu Wenrui has lately started to feel like he's playing a haunted version of Jian Wang 3. It seems his character has come to life.

At first, it learned to post dirty jokes in the friends channel on its own:

[Friends] Li Muci: You don't have to pretend to be cold. I never planned to pester you anyway. One last favor: lend me a pair of underwear. I, the Supreme Demon Lord, can't go out naked.

[Friends] Li Muci: I caught two sheep today and made soup. Just as I was about to add the second one, the sheep in the pot spoke: "Don't you Sword Pure guys have your own pot?"

Then it started changing its own outfits whenever Xu Wenrui logged off.

Its taste was horrifying. Its favorite outfit was exactly the same as his sworn enemy's: a purple ensemble so ugly it was impossible to look at!

But that wasn't the worst of it.

Until one day, Xu Wenrui happened to stay up late and joined a midnight raid. When they reached the fifth boss, his own character suddenly moved on its own!

That's right. His game character really seemed to be alive!

But why, when the character started moving by itself, did the voice in his headset belong to his sworn enemy? "Well, well. Waking up to something this exciting today?"

Damn, that's even scarier than haunted Jian Wang 3!

Li Jia always considered himself to be calm and unflappable, from childhood to adulthood.

When he first discovered that he had transmigrated, he felt nothing at all. He took things as they came and muddled through life with the laid-back attitude of a salted fish. Even when he learned that the person whose body he'd transmigrated into had the same name as his sworn enemy, all he did was sigh at his bad luck.

But then Li Jia realized that he had transmigrated into his sworn enemy's game character...

"I'm gonna kill you!"
