Lian Xun is immortal, never ages, and never changes her appearance. She is the beautiful goddess everyone longs to meet. Those who encounter her can trade something useless for beauty, or put their beauty up as collateral to obtain anything else they desire.
As punishment, she has been made a beautiful goddess for two thousand years. She must find, among all those driven to despair by their appearance, the one person who will not make a deal with a beautiful goddess.
Only when no one needs the beautiful goddess will she be freed from her punishment.
Of the thirty thousand people Lian Xun chose and offered a helping hand, not one refused her.
Then came the thirty-thousand-and-first person, Ji Wuxia. Not only did she refuse the beautiful goddess, she thought Lian Xun was a scammer.
The day Lian Xun met Ji Wuxia, the other woman had been framed out of jealousy, blamed and fired by her cheating boss, and targeted by someone who coveted her looks.
Ji Wuxia was desperate enough to make a wish to the beautiful goddess, but she refused the helping hand Lian Xun offered.
The girl raised her hand to wipe away tears, her eyes red-rimmed and her gaze cold.
"Are scammers really this ridiculous these days?"
Lian Xun: "..."
Help! What do you do when someone doesn't believe in the beautiful goddess?
Before long, Lian Xun realized that this time, she might really have found someone who didn't need a beautiful goddess.
