Chi Xing has a sworn enemy named Meng Xiqing.
From childhood onward, Meng Xiqing has always outdone her.
At home, they competed to see who was more obedient. At school, they fought for first place. Once they entered the workforce, they competed for government positions.
Of course, Chi Xing lost every time.
Meng Xiqing had talent in spades and won countless honors. She had always been the top student, and after earning her doctorate, she easily became a tenured university professor.
As for Chi Xing, she always just barely came in second. She ended up as a contract physical education teacher at the very same university as Meng Xiqing.
Then Chi Xing was invited to join a dating reality show and discovered that Meng Xiqing was one of the contestants.
Unfortunately, this time they weren't rivals. They were potential matches for each other.
The show was called Love Your Nemesis. As the name suggests, six pairs of sworn enemies were invited to live together in a romantic retreat for twenty days. At the start, each pair was forbidden from revealing their relationship to the others.
So they had to pretend they didn't know each other.
On the first day, Meng Xiqing smiled as she took Chi Xing's hand and greeted her like they were meeting for the first time. Chi Xing scrubbed her hands with soap ten times that night.
At their first meal in the kitchen, Chi Xing rolled up her sleeves and made pasta. Everyone shared it and gave her a thumbs-up. Meng Xiqing forced a smile and praised it, gritting her teeth as she ate every last bit of broccoli Chi Xing had deliberately put in her portion.

With no rivalry to motivate her, Chi Xing decided to coast through the dating show. She spent every day going between work and the kitchen, completely unaware that she was in the middle of a battlefield.
When a pair of sworn enemies got into a fight in the kitchen over Meng Xiqing, Chi Xing picked up the food they'd abandoned halfway through cooking and tried to reason with them. "Get a job or something. Meng Xiqing really isn't that great."
A female contestant sent her romantic messages again and again, chatting about everything from poetry to the meaning of life. Chi Xing politely turned her down. "I'm just an ordinary person. I'm afraid I can't give you what you want."
She'd planned to take the money and leave, but she never expected Meng Xiqing to refuse to let her walk away from the battlefield in peace.
When Chi Xing went to watch the drama unfold, Meng Xiqing tugged at her sleeve and blinked coquettishly. "I want some too. Feed me~~"
When Chi Xing went to the kitchen to chop vegetables, Meng Xiqing tied an apron around her and wouldn't let go, her soft fingertips wandering around Chi Xing's waist. "Let's cook together, Xingxing~~"
And so, to her despair, Chi Xing discovered that the whole internet had given her the nickname "Xingxing."
Later, when the show ended, she was finally free to leave, only for Meng Xiqing to push her onto the bed. The woman before her swept back her hair, her voice lazy and her whole body exuding an alluring fragrance.
"The show's over, and you still won't choose me..."
"Chi Xing, are you impotent?"
