Virtual Boyfriend

[I accidentally marked the pre-release listing for "Do Not Touch" as published, so I'm replacing it with this short story about a virtual boyfriend. I'll make a new pre-release listing for "Do Not Touch", which you can find by visiting my author page. I'm very sorry that my mistake disappointed everyone. I'll write both stories!]

A friend used the recipient's phone number to order him a virtual boyfriend. The recipient didn't respond. Later, after a breakup, he got drunk and called the virtual boyfriend, crying to him all night. He woke up hungover and only then discovered the call in his call history.

The virtual boyfriend sent him a message out of concern. Embarrassed, the recipient offered to pay him back, but the other person refused. He had no choice but to place another order. As he browsed the reviews on the order page, he felt increasingly uneasy.

He never imagined that the voice that had kept him company all night wasn't the virtual boyfriend at all!

Title, blurb, and character names are all subject to revision and completion.

Theme: No need for 999 or 998, just 9.98, and your virtual boyfriend comes home with you!
