Wild Summer

[Bright, pampered rich beauty x local tough guy]

÷ The summer of seventeen, damp and wild.

÷ I want you, and I want to devour you.

On Yun Qi's first day in Qingchuan after moving from the big city, it was rainy and muddy. Through the downpour, someone carried her across a small river on his back.

Her long hair hung over his shoulder, swaying and getting in the way. Yun Qi instinctively tucked it behind her ear, but he suddenly stopped.

Over the sound of rain and rushing water, his voice was low and magnetic. "Hey."

"Hmm?"

"We have a local custom. Carrying someone across a river means you're getting married."

Yun Qi was so startled that she immediately jumped off his back and splashed into the water. Watching her, he grinned wickedly. "Just kidding."

Through the curtain of rain, Yun Qi looked at him in the night. "Hey."

He looked at her without saying anything.

"We have a custom where I'm from, too. If you tease a girl, you'll fall in love with her."
