I Still Can't Figure Out What the Boss Is Thinking

The blurb may change a little before the novel begins. Qihai Cangye thinks the world is just too bizarre. All he did was go downstairs to pick up a document, and by chance he locked eyes with his childhood friend as she jumped from a building. By the time he hurried downstairs, it was all over. His friend lay in a pool of blood. Her eyes would never open again. A mysterious white creature wiggles its ears as if trying to be cute. "Would you like to make a contract with me and become a magical girl?" Qihai Cangye looks at the mysterious white creature as if it were insane. "Could you open your eyes and take a good look first? I'm a guy, and I'm already an adult." Mysterious Creature: I can grant any wish. Qihai Cangye: ... "I'm in!" But seriously, it's so embarrassing fighting in a floaty dress! This is where Qihai Cangye's life takes a turn. From then on, he enters a cycle of reincarnation whose beginning and end are both marked by his childhood friend's death. On his first loop, he holds his friend and weeps. So miracles and magic really do exist! On his thirteenth loop, he tries to cut off the source of his friend's transformation and gets the [Book] first, but his friend dies even sooner than before! On his sixty-fourth loop, nearly in despair, he gives up after failing to save her no matter what he tries. On his sixty-fifth loop, fine. When you fall, get back up where you fell. On his seventy-second loop, haha, this machine gun is way more useful than magic! On the umpteenth loop... What on earth will it take for you to stop dying?! cries Qihai Cangye, who keeps getting bad endings. Qihai Cangye: If I had one more chance, I would definitely shout from the bottom of my heart: You damn Kyubey, you played me! Probably a goofy, sweet story? Theme: Being accepted and chosen is a wonderful stroke of luck
