Even a Bionic Person's Heart Isn't Cold

2035.

With human reproduction in sharp decline, market demand led to the creation of androids identical in appearance to humans.

The earliest android AI was far from perfect. They looked human, but were really just piles of metal and machinery, useful for all kinds of menial work.

Code 0068 was the latest model developed by the robotics research division of Aiersheng Technologies, and was hailed as the most perfect robot yet. It could input and recognize any information. Its refined appearance was calculated from data, and it possessed independent thought. From cultural knowledge to practical skills, it far surpassed humans.

Many wealthy people had already heard of it and hoped to see it for themselves. The company decided to put it on display and make a fortune.

On the first day of the exhibition, before 0068 had even been brought onto the stage, it mysteriously disappeared despite dozens of security systems and guards.

The staff were frantic. "What are you standing around for? Find it!"

The next day.

Sunlight streamed through a broken window into a room in total disarray. Cans and takeout boxes littered the floor. On the bed, a figure blended into the clothes and blankets, barely recognizable as human.

A cold voice rang out.

A green light flashed in its eyes.

"Android 0068 successfully bonded with its owner."
