*Blurb

A little thief who grew up believing the world had abandoned him, scraping by on the streets, wishes for nothing more than one filling meal a day.

Then one day, he meets a benefactor who tells him that he is actually the long-lost son of the current emperor.

The emperor is his father! The crown prince is his brother!

But the benefactor he's fallen for has become his sister-in-law?

Lu Yan, the High Priest of the Southern Frontier Kingdom, is the most accomplished imperial preceptor in nearly a hundred years. With his striking beauty and mastery of the Nine Jia Golden Gadflies, he enjoys a position of great status and glory.

When the two meet, their mutual antagonism gradually turns into a bond in which they cannot bear to be apart.

Four years earlier.

Lu Yan: "Not a chance. Every inch of the Southern Frontier is my domain. If anyone's leaving, it's you."

Lu Yan: "Stay away from me!"

Chu Wenwen: "All under heaven is the emperor's domain. Where do you expect me to go?"
