Tong Yiyi was a little different from other girls. With her short hair, she looked just like a tomboy.
She was outgoing, but also rather careless in her words and actions.
While other little girls played house with their dolls,
she was already challenging the old men in the residential compound to table tennis.
At the school sports meet, she easily won the table tennis championship.
Unsatisfied with that, she challenged the best player among the older boys.
She had always idolized Ning, an Olympic champion who had nearly swept every competition and won so many awards she could hardly keep track.
To meet her idol, Tong Yiyi trained hard every day.
She entered the National Youth Table Tennis Championships,
because winning the title would give her a chance to carry the Olympic torch
and cheer on her idol at the Olympics in person.
Most importantly, she had a daring idea:
she wanted to play an exhibition match against Ning.
Will her wish come true? Let me tell you the story.
Theme: Persevere, and your dreams will come true.
