A Background Character Who Can See the Protagonist Aura

The author’s new novel, Our Scenic Area Has Transmigrated, is now being serialized! ↓ The blurb is in first person; the story itself is in third person. Blurb: My name is A Yan. Ever since I was little, I’ve been able to see some strange things. For example In elementary school, my new neighbor, Aunt Tan, had a pair of all-around genius twins. They had halos over their heads reading “Peerless Genius Babies.” At three, they could recite an entire English-Chinese dictionary backward; at five, they were proficient in Western and Chinese instruments; at seven, they hacked into another country’s database… I grew up alongside kids like that, suffering comparisons so cruel and horrific they were practically inhuman. To get away from being compared to other people’s children, I applied to a private boarding school for middle school. When I arrived, my deskmate was a tiny girl with straight bangs, an old uniform, and a voice as faint as a mosquito’s. Three months later, my deskmate woke up from a nap with a “reborn” halo suddenly hovering over her head. She moved between a cold academic ace, a delinquent with a wolfdog personality, a ruthless big shot, and a gentle childhood friend. As I watched alone in stunned amazement, all I could do was marvel. By college, I thought I’d finally escaped all these abnormal worlds. But my steps froze the moment I walked into the dormitory. My roommates had halos reading “ancient person in the modern world,” “post-apocalyptic esper,” “will die if I don’t spend money,” and “Ghost King’s resurrection.” I hugged my little quilt and asked my counselor to move me to another dorm. Request denied. Eventually, I got used to it: “handing the System over to the government,” “business management System,” “transmigrate into a book,” “infinite worlds,” “three and a half years old,” “interstellar livestream,” “red envelope group”… The halos kept multiplying, but I’d learned to calmly ignore them and focus on my own life. Every morning, I expertly helped my roommate, the ancient person in the modern world who was hated by the entire internet, dodge the campus paparazzi and save her a seat in class. At lunchtime, I helped my billionaire roommate hand out the luxury skincare and designer handbags she’d bought on her shopping spree. As we tried the city’s finest customized takeout, I said with heartfelt emotion, “Baby, can I really keep these?” At dusk, I watched the flowers and plants my esper roommate was growing on the balcony. After tasting one of her mutant cherry tomatoes, I remarked, “I feel refreshed, like I’ve been cleansed from the inside out.” Late at night, when my Ghost King roommate sneaked back through the window, I poked my head out and asked with concern, “You’re a bit late today. You didn’t bring anything back, did you?” My name is A Yan. I am not the protagonist of this world. Archived October 10, 2021. Coming soon: I Really Am Just a Random NPC. The mascot just took one step today and the Demon Sect’s holy son dropped to his knees on the spot!] [What level of hidden NPC is Sister Shu, anyway?!] [Luo Shu has to be the most promising NPC in The Hero’s Journey, right? A peerless genius! Truly terrifying!] [The mascot took one lap around the sect’s territory and glanced at a small-clan heir who was strutting around, overflowing with domineering aura. He immediately bowed down and pledged his allegiance!] Luo Shu tilted her head. Huh? What? Is that… about me? But I really haven’t done anything! Theme: Everyone is unique.
