The first time Xie Zheng saw Wen Qing, she was sitting cross-legged in the hallway outside a karaoke room, clutching a bottle of cola as she cried and drank.
Her friend asked why she was crying. She wiped away her tears. "He said he's always thought of me as a little sister. Well, he can take that little-sister nonsense and shove it..."
Xie Zheng walked past without stopping, guessing that the girl had probably just been dumped.
When he reached the corner up ahead, the girl's friend sounded exasperated. "If you've been dumped, at least drink alcohol. Why are you acting drunk with a bottle of cola?"
The girl sounded tearful and aggrieved. "I want to drink, but I'm not old enough yet..."
Xie Zheng slowed for a moment, the corner of his mouth twitching.
Later, Wen Qing came of age. On the night she ended her unrequited crush, Xie Zheng kissed her with alcohol on his breath.
The sharp taste of liquor made Wen Qing's lashes wet with tears. The man's hazy, drunken gaze fixed on her, his voice low and warm, dangerously alluring. "Want to give me a try?"
-
The first time Wen Qing saw Xie Zheng, he was holding up an airport pickup sign with her name on it in one hand, while talking on his phone with the other.
The person on the other end asked what he was doing. He answered in a lazy, listless voice, "At the airport, picking up my roommate's little sister."
Wen Qing, already standing beside him, immediately protested, "I'm not his little sister!"
Xie Zheng jumped in fright.
Later, they started dating. Whenever Xie Zheng got jealous, Wen Qing couldn't help kissing him, hugging him, and pressing her cheek to his as she coaxed him. "I'm really just his little sister now. If I'm lying, may I turn into a dog!"
Xie Zheng took advantage of the moment to pull her onto his lap and kiss her until his voice turned hoarse with desire. "But you call him 'big brother.' You've never called me that."
Wen Qing was still catching her breath, her gaze hazy and sparkling, her voice especially coquettish. "...Then... Big Brother Xie Zheng?"
Xie Zheng's eyes darkened. "..."
What was he supposed to do? He wanted to kiss her again.

* Everything in this story serves the plot. No needless drama. If it's not your thing, feel free to quietly drop it without telling the author.

Few people knew that Ji Si'an and Huo Yu had once shared a reckless past.
On the night of her eighteenth birthday, the shy young man sang her a love song. He was always tone-deaf, but this time every note was on pitch. That was how much effort he had put in.
That night, Ji Si'an kissed him first. Later, Huo Yu pinned her against the door of a hotel room.
As he kissed her, the young man asked hoarsely, "It's not too late to call it off... Do you want me to stop?"
Ji Si'an didn't answer. She just took his hand and pressed it against her chest, letting him feel her heartbeat pounding harder than ever before.
Huo Yu's heart trembled. He kissed her more deeply. "Si'an, we'll be together forever."
-
Later, they broke up. When they met again, it was on a film set.
Huo Yu had become an award-winning actor who'd won every major honor, while Ji Si'an was just a rookie screenwriter.
They acted like strangers.
Until one late night, Huo Yu, after a few drinks, knocked on Ji Si'an's door and pinned her against the cold wall of her hotel room, kissing her hard.
The man's breath was hot and sharp with alcohol.
Nearly out of his mind, he kissed her and lifted her into the room, his voice low and hoarse with menace. "If you don't like it, say stop. Otherwise..."
"I'll keep going."
As her resolve crumbled, Ji Si'an remembered something and pushed against his chest, trying to call it off.
Instead, he grabbed her wrist and bit her lip in frustration. "We're almost there! If I stop now, what kind of man would I be?"
"..."
