Just Friends

The characterizations and groveling-for-forgiveness plot aren't perfect. If you can't accept that, feel free to drop it!!!

1.

An Jinjou spent seven years by the side of Pei Ying, a famous actress.

Whenever anyone asked, Pei Ying would only introduce her as, "Just my little sister."

But anyone with eyes could see that An Jinjou was a little bird dancing in the palm of Pei Ying's hand.

Pampered, but with no freedom.

One day, An Jinjou heard that Pei Ying had a new little sister. When she went to find Pei Ying, she heard her telling a friend, "Seven years. I should have gotten tired of her ages ago."

An Jinjou walked away from the "cage" she'd lived in for seven years.

She was decisive and resolute, without a moment's hesitation.

Only after An Jinjou disappeared did Pei Ying belatedly realize that...

She was the little bird all along.

2.

When Pei Ying saw An Jinjou again, the other woman had changed.

Cold and stern.

Nothing like the adorable girl who used to laugh sweetly in her arms.

But none of that mattered. As long as her name was still An Jinjou, and she still had the face that haunted Pei Ying's dreams every night.

Pei Ying began her journey to win her back.

It was fine if An Jinjou ignored her. It was fine if she made things difficult for her or humiliated her.

She could even grit her teeth and accept being the one on the bottom.

Pei Ying thought she and An Jinjou had made up and gone back to how things were. But when someone asked about their relationship, the person beside her replied coolly:

"We're just friends."
