Zhou Qingyue had a girl he liked. She was beautiful and gentle, and even spoke softly. He studied hard and finally got into the same university as her. But she was withdrawn and didn't like talking to people, so he thought of all sorts of ways to get close to her, just to catch another glimpse. Every day, Zhou Qingyue got up early so he could sit in the same row as her.
Later, when he went to her house for the first time to celebrate her birthday, Zhou Qingyue finally worked up the courage to do so.
The girl he liked opened the door. He held flowers in his hands, full of joy, and failed to notice how she awkwardly brushed the hair from her ear, the unusual flush on her face, or the faint, mottled red marks on her neck.
"Happy birthday," he said nervously.
"Thank you." Tang Yiyi hadn't expected him to show up and was a little surprised. After thanking him, she didn't take the flowers.
Zhou Qingyue left, feeling dejected. What he didn't know was that a mature man in casual clothes was sitting on the sofa inside. His legs were crossed, and his long fingers were leisurely smoothing out the wrinkles pressed into the front of his shirt.
[Bonus scene]
Tang Yiyi was withdrawn, but after starting university, Zhou Duo helped her gradually learn how to socialize.
She was beautiful, and many people pursued her. Zhou Duo had once happened to see dozens of love letters on her pale pink desk.
When Tang Yiyi realized the love letters she'd brought home were all gone, she stormed into the study to confront the man. She was still wearing his oversized shirt, sitting astride his lap, and blushing as she accused him: "Uncle Zhou, you're too much! You took my things without asking me."
Zhou Duo looked down at her and let the little cat in his arms bare her claws boldly, swaggering around on the strength of his affection.
Later, he gripped her waist and listened to her voice, quieter than a cat's. He whispered hoarsely in her ear, "Weren't you so brave? Why did you stop yelling?"

1. Both leads are each other's first. Ten-year age gap; the heroine is 20.
3. A little grooming, a fatherly boyfriend, sweet and doting with no angst, leaning toward healing.
[It's short, but I really want to write it.]
Coming soon: Bright Moon and Strong Liquor
Her boyfriend was going to a class reunion, and she advised him not to hang out with those no-good friends.
Chi Qingzhou smiled and nodded.
That night, he got drunk, and she drove to pick him up.
As she left, she saw a couple in the hallway, their passion rising with the heat.
She glanced at them, then coldly looked away, thinking she should never let Chi Qingzhou come to places like this again.
Later, a friend of Chi Qingzhou's was going abroad, and she had no choice but to go along to see him off.
In the KTV hallway, she ran into that man again, though the woman in his arms had changed.
Someone teased him: "What happened to the last one?"
He laughed and cursed, then kicked the man. "It wasn't working out, so we broke up."
After Chi Qingzhou died in a car accident, Gu Mingyue often went away to paint landscapes.
She knew he had only looked after her as a friend.
The furthest he ever went was pressing his lips to hers, his eyes deep as he murmured, "Gu Mingyue, I think I've fallen in love with you."
