Gu Chu loved Shen Yuhuai for more than just the fact that he had saved her life when they were children.
She knew full well that Shen Yuhuai was cold and aloof, but she still stayed by his side with all the courage she could muster, willingly becoming the little tagalong everyone in their circle looked down on.
Even after she learned that she had mistaken someone else for her childhood savior, she still wanted to keep making that mistake, recklessly letting herself fall for him.

Gu Chu's red lips curled as she met his deep, heated gaze. "I hear your first love, Mr. Shen, has been seriously ill lately. You're coming to see me now. Don't tell me you want to take my heart, liver, spleen, and lungs?"
Shen Yuhuai pulled her closer, his voice low and humble. "I was wrong. I want to take your heart."
Gu Chu pushed him away, dusted off her clothes, and sneered. "Stop it. It was just for fun. You can't compare to him."
