Ji Fuchen saved up his belongings while planning to find a chance to leave.

Then, not long afterward, disaster struck the stronghold, and Ji Fuchen was abducted. Zhou An led his men to wipe out several nearby bandit dens. He not only rescued Ji Fuchen, but also dealt with the bandit problem for the imperial court.

Ji Fuchen was deeply moved, thinking Zhou An had finally come to see him as one of his own.

But Zhou An awkwardly said, “We’re family. What’s there to be polite about?”

Ji Fuchen was baffled. “Since when did I become family to you?”

Synopsis: Jiang Xianyu is a well-known playboy in the capital. He’s not only handsome but comes from a good family. His sole flaw is that he isn’t very clever and is often taken in by people.

One day, someone talked him into spending a fortune on a “merman.” He’d heard that these creatures could sing and weep pearls, making them rare treasures.

From then on, Jiang Xianyu spent every day fussing over his “merman”...

Looks like the only way to make this silly boy remember him is to recreate the scene where he helped him get the drug out of his system.
