Bottom's perspective:
Fang Zhuo injured his throat when he was seven and became a little mute who couldn't speak.
Later, by a twist of fate, he transmigrated into a book set in an ancient apocalypse, where he became a seven-year-old cannon-fodder character. The child looked exactly like him: thin, pale, frail and sickly, the sort who clearly wouldn't survive past the first three chapters. Fang Zhuo didn't want to die, so he decided to find someone powerful to cling to.
He tried again and again, failing every time. When he was nearly starved to death, he finally managed to latch onto someone powerful, and not just anyone, but the book's major villain. The villain was still a teenager, with a terrible temper and a face that was always stern, but whenever he managed to get some food, he would share a little with Fang Zhuo.
At first, Fang Zhuo was a little afraid of him. But after freeloading off him day after day, he gradually got used to it. Then one day, the other boy came back with a clean set of clothes from who knew where and told him to change. Fang Zhuo was incredibly grateful, until he took a closer look and realized they were girls' clothes.
Fang Zhuo: ...
He didn't want to wear them, but didn't dare refuse.
Who knew that from then on, the villain would bring him all kinds of pretty dresses every few days? Fang Zhuo trembled with fear, suspecting that the villain must have some kind of perverted hobby...
Top's perspective:
Xiao Muhui found a child in a temporary shelter. The child looked a lot like his missing younger sister. On a whim, Xiao Muhui took him along. At first, it was only to give him somewhere to place his longing for his sister. But gradually, he grew used to the child's company, saving all the good food and drink for him and going to great lengths to find him clean clothes.
For some reason, though, Fang Zhuo never seemed happy when he put on his new clothes. Later, he even started looking at Xiao Muhui warily. Xiao Muhui was disappointed, wondering if he'd picked up an ungrateful brat who couldn't be raised right.
Until one day, he saw Fang Zhuo bathing in the river with another boy. He was just about to fly into a rage when he realized Fang Zhuo was a boy.
Later on.
Order gradually returned. Xiao Muhui found his sister, and Fang Zhuo had grown into a teenager.
Xiao Muhui planned out their new home: one room for his sister, one for storing food, one for cooking... Only one room remained, and of course it was his. Fang Zhuo was heartbroken. He packed his things and prepared to leave, but Xiao Muhui blocked him inside the house.
Fang Zhuo was upset, thinking, If there's no room for me in the new house, why are you asking me to stay?
Then Xiao Muhui awkwardly said, "Haven't we always shared a room?"
Fang Zhuo: "What about when you get married?"
Xiao Muhui: "I won't. Unless it's to you."
