After Wang Shu dies, she's pulled into a post-apocalyptic wasteland novel and assigned the role of an NPC.
System: Your codename is "Saintess." All you have to do is fill in for any missing characters in the scenario events and help the plot continue.
Wang Shu: "Uh, you know I'm ill, right?"
System: It doesn't matter. Just act the part.
Wang Shu: "Lucky for you, acting and losing my mind are what I'm best at."
And so Wang Shu joins the protagonist's team as the rich young lady in the first act: foolish, selfish, a burden to the team, and doomed to die a horrible death.
She provokes a serial killer, tears up an evil-repelling talisman, opens a cursed box, and makes enemies of every human and supernatural being alike. She even preaches her "Daydreaming Way" to the whole world, before laughing as she walks into the flames.
Many years later.
The survivors establish "Pure Land," the last line of defense against the supernatural. After the protagonist's team braves countless hardships and arrives at the gates of Pure Land, battered and exhausted, seeking shelter, they are shocked to see the haughty young lady who was burned to death in the earlier events. Surrounded by adoring followers, she lowers her eyelids and calmly surveys their sorry state.
Wang Shu has replaced the novel's villain and become the leader of the apocalypse's greatest chaotic faction, codename "Saintess."
People call her the only miracle of divine descent in this land of sin. She is calamity walking among mortals, a martyr, a gambler, a goddess, a fool, and the embodiment of destiny.
The protagonists: ...This is getting surreal.
