[A melodramatic romantic play to unwind, updated whenever inspiration strikes]
Romanticist princess of a fallen kingdom, the pursued one x sickly, devoted, gloomy general, the pursuer
Mutual healing. A self-indulgent story written to unwind.
Shu Li was once the empire's leading general. One battle left her crippled, condemned to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair.
She was no longer a mighty general, nor was she held in high regard.
It was as if she had lost everything overnight.
On the day Shu Li wanted to die, she was betrothed.
The state arranged a wife for her, a princess from a small country. It was the very country Shu Li had personally conquered a year ago.
She had even destroyed one of the princess's arms on the battlefield.
Shu Li prepared herself to accept the hatred and fury of this princess.
But when the little princess, who should have hated her to the bone, saw her, she merely smiled softly.
"General Shu, would you like to watch the fireworks?"
The little princess was the embodiment of romance.
She would use her mechanical arm to set off fireworks for Shu Li, grin and say she wanted to chase the wind, plant a whole courtyard of roses for her, and make wishes to her beneath the stars.
Shu Li fell for this romance.
Qing Yu was once a much-beloved princess. She lived freely and without a care in the world.
Then her country was destroyed, and after many twists and turns, she was given to the person who had led the army that conquered it.
Qing Yu should have hated her.
And Qing Yu did hate her.
But that once spirited and radiant general now sat dejectedly in a wheelchair, like a withered rose.
Qing Yu suddenly felt that there was no point to any of it. Her hatred, her obsession, all of it seemed pointless.
But one day, that withered rose began to come alive again, and invited her:
"Little princess, do you want to restore your kingdom?"
The general cast aside her reputation and turned against her country for her, becoming her sole subject.
She would follow her back to the desolate kingdom, and together they would live as people without names or titles.
[Little Tang's Friendly Reminder]
1. Set in a fictional interstellar universe, with lots of original worldbuilding.
2. The pursuer has a broken leg, and the pursued one has a broken arm.
3. A lighthearted, self-indulgent healing story, written for fun.
4. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. The schedule depends on fate and mood.
