Pearl on a Hairpin

Qiao Que is a deaf and mute heiress.

She cannot hear, and she cannot speak.

Gu Guilu is an assassin who works for money.

He cannot write, and he cannot read.

One day, Gu Guilu climbed into Qiao Que's courtyard while wounded.

That was how they met.

"The first time we met, I got her skirt dirty."

"The second time we met, I broke her hairpin."

"The third time we met, I fell in love with her."

A kind, innocent, deaf-and-mute heiress

A foolish, straightforward, scatterbrained martial-world assassin

P.S. Wrong genre channel. Sudden angst warning.

One-on-one romance, bad ending

Theme: If two hearts stay true for the long haul, what does it matter if they cannot be together every day?
