The two great house-cleaning families, the Southern Shens and Northern Jiangs, have followed an unbroken rule for a hundred years: never interfere with each other's work and rarely set foot on the other's turf. But one sunny afternoon, Shen Xiao's father packed him off and had a driver take him to the capital, onto Jiang family territory.

Shen's father told him he'd arranged a marriage for him in the capital. He only said the other party was 187 centimeters tall, 25 years old, good-looking, and surnamed Jiang, without saying a word about their gender.
