On the day he first arrived, Young Master Xie saw a headless body sitting there, holding its head and washing its hair.

Xie Yao: "Hey, handsome, is washing your hair with your head taken off all the rage these days? Your hairstyle looks great, so retro."

An old man's inner thoughts: I wanted to scare him too, but he called me handsome.

Another day: A shadow puppet twisted itself into a very strange shape.

Xie Yao: "Buddy, those dance moves are pretty good. You must have at least eight or ten years of training to pull that off."

The shadow puppet: I'm trying to scare you, you idiot! Dancing? Do you have any idea what's going on?

Xie Yao blinked his big eyes and said with utter sincerity, "Wow, you have a really nice voice, too."

The shadow puppet's inner thoughts: I wanted to scare him too, but he looks like he genuinely means the compliment. There aren't many honest people like this. I'd better let him live.
