Medicine in My Arms

On the continent of Shuanglan,

there is a legend that once every thousand years,

a child of the gods will be born.

They are blessed with extraordinary gifts and a divine flame,

and are closer to the gods than anyone else.

Beneath the heavens and the continent,

there is also a demon realm, neither wholly good nor wholly evil.

Legend has it that the Demon King is reborn every thousand years,

and devours the divine child to absorb their flame and fight the gods.

Luo Qingyun had lived at Changli Sect for as long as she could remember.

No one knew where she came from, and she had never cared.

She hid deep in the peach grove, listening to the spring beside her.

Her immaculate white robe floated in the air like a thin veil of mist.

A pair of bloodstained hands quietly sullied its whiteness.

Luo Qingyun lowered her head and smiled.

"Does it hurt?"

The girl struggled to open her eyes. Through her blurry vision, she saw Luo Qingyun.

"Are... are you a fairy?"

Luo Qingyun rescued her and tended to her with care.

The girl's emaciated body was covered in scars.

"F-Fairy... will you take me in?"

Luo Qingyun gently stroked the girl's hair and smiled.

"How about I call you Siyou? Will you stay by my side?"

The girl carefully took her fingertip and nodded firmly.

Years later.

Love rose with the peach blossoms, and my heart fell with the spring water.

When her sword pressed against Luo Qingyun's throat,

Luo Qingyun smiled through her tears and closed her eyes.

Siyou's hand trembled around the sword. She couldn't bring herself to hurt her.

She looked at her.

"Does it hurt?"

"So you won't dodge... You know I love you, and you won't dodge. You know I miss you, and you won't dodge. You know I want to kill you, and you still won't dodge!"

I knew from the very beginning how this would end, but I was willing to be your medicine.
