Peach Blossoms on the Horizon

Jiang Li

Ten years ago, on a stormy night,

five-year-old Jiang Li lost her way and stumbled into a ruined temple.

In a corner, a boy in rough clothes huddled, drenched from head to toe.

Thunder suddenly boomed. Terrified, Jiang Li stumbled into the boy's arms.

The little tyrant was a coward, but too stubborn to admit she was scared. She tugged gently at the boy's hand, summoned her courage, and said, "I'm here. What are you afraid of?"

Lu Sui

Nine-year-old Lu Sui had come to the capital with his mother to stay with relatives, but someone had set a trap for them. His mother died protecting him.

Badly wounded, he fled alone to the ruined temple.

Before long, some fool barged into the temple.

He lifted his bloodstained eyelids and looked up. A few dozen paces away stood a little girl, maybe four or five years old. Delicately pretty, it was obvious at a glance that she came from a wealthy family and was dearly loved.

There was nowhere for Lu Sui to vent his fury. His only thought was to kill those people and send them to join his mother. His killing intent burned so fiercely that his eyes turned red.

But after a clap of thunder, she ran over and took his hand of her own accord.

She was scared out of her wits herself, yet still told him not to be afraid.

And yet... he didn't want to let go of the little hand holding his.

Childhood sweethearts, supporting each other through thick and thin.

Their romance begins after they grow up.

A simple, sweet story.
