Jade and Gold in the Wrong

A noble young lord, aloof and disdainful, proud beyond measure, who would rather die with his honor intact than sully himself by colluding with the corrupt court, has been ordered to marry Princess Yongle and become her consort!

Who is Princess Yongle? The late emperor's precious youngest daughter, and, during the empress dowager's regency, a spoiled and arrogant princess who abused her power. She kept male lovers and lived extravagantly, drawing accusations from court officials and criticism from the people. Wherever she went, rumors followed in her wake.

Once the marriage was settled, everyone in Jianye felt sorry for the young lord.

They all sighed that the prince consort must hate the princess, and that after the wedding they would be at each other's throats. It seemed the world was about to gain yet another unhappy couple!

A little scene:

A neat-freak young lord accidentally splashes mud on the hem of his robe. His furious reaction makes the usually distant princess laugh for once. For some reason, the rest of the day, the young lord can't stop wanting to get more mud on his freshly changed clothes.
