When the Spring Breeze Blows

The perpetually cheerful, carefree, and easygoing Gu Zhijie has only one thing troubling him:

He wants to become cultivation partners with the peerlessly beautiful Chu Zhixin and live a shamelessly sweet little life together.

But Chu Zhixin is always as steadfast as stone, with a cultivation level beyond compare.

Even though Gu Zhijie pursues him with single-minded courage, swearing he'd follow his heart's desire through a hundred deaths without regret, Chu Zhixin remains unmoved.

As time goes by, everyone knows that Gu Zhijie is infatuated with Chu Zhixin.

Chu Zhixin treats him coldly, while Gu Zhijie refuses to take a hint, and everyone laughs at him.

Until Chu Zhixin accompanies Gu Zhijie into a deadly trap, then risks his own life to protect him and help him escape.

Everyone assumes Gu Zhijie has finally gotten his wish, and that he and Chu Zhixin will stay together forever.

But Gu Zhijie treats Chu Zhixin like a stranger, completely unmoved. The only kindness he shows is a faint smile as he reminds him, "The green hills have already been left behind, and the blue waters won't flow back. There's no need to put on a show."

Chu Zhixin finally admits that he craves the warmth of those hands and longs to stand shoulder to shoulder, watching the new willows sprout in Xizhou.

He wants to find the Gu Zhijie who once looked upon him with favor.

Even if it's only for an instant, he'll pursue him with all his courage, without regret even in the face of a hundred deaths.
