Call Me Your Wife!

To save three generations of the Xia family's business, Xia Qianyan accepts the terms and enters into a business marriage with Lin Jinxing, the Lin family's notorious wastrel who does nothing with his life.

The day after their engagement, Xia Qianyan takes up the post of Lin Jinxing's special assistant and discovers that Lin Jinxing, the company's actual CEO, is throwing a party in his office. It's supposedly a farewell-to-singlehood writing party, but in reality it's a drunken orgy.

Without a word, the assistant splashes a glass of ice-cold wine in the bleary-eyed CEO's face, then wrecks his office.

Lin Jinxing roars, "You really think you're my wife?!"

Xia Qianyan gives him a cold smile. "Who said you could call me your wife? Until you can beat me, you'll address me respectfully as Your Lordship!"

"And another thing! We can't get divorced until revenue hits the six billion your grandpa set as the target. If you want me gone, then work hard and build the business! I'm warning you, no slacking off. Get moving!"

From that day on, Lin Jinxing, who had never cared whether the Lin company made or lost money, makes checking the revenue his first task every morning. He grits his teeth and gets to work, counting on his fingers how many more billions he needs to earn before he's free.

More than once, he declares, "What wife? I'll knock him flat sooner or later, then shove the business results in his face and divorce him!"

Xia Qianyan remains as cold as ever, waiting to fulfill his agreement with the Lin family, restore the Xia family's fortunes, and grant Lin Jinxing's wish to cut ties with him once and for all.

When Lin Jinxing reluctantly accompanies Xia Qianyan back to the Xia family home, he sees Xia Qianyan being put down by relatives and bullied by his own cousins. Only then does he understand why Xia Qianyan is such a good fighter.

Furious, Lin Jinxing slams the table and roars, "If any of you bastards lays a finger on my wife again, I'll ruin your lives!"

Everyone is stunned. Xia Qianyan pauses, then gives him a faint, unruffled smile. "The CEO is looking pretty handsome today."

Later, as Lin Jinxing keeps checking the revenue, he grows increasingly dissatisfied:

"How did we make ten billion? Was that really so easy?"

"We're already at twenty billion? Did you forget to pay taxes? The B project needs more investment, right? I don't care if it does or not. Invest more, get rid of the money!"

He even goes to negotiate with his grandpa: "My marriage being valued at only six billion makes me look bad. Raise it, it has to go up! Make it a trillion!"

On the eve of meeting the conditions for divorce, Lin Jinxing gets spectacularly drunk and pins Xia Qianyan down, mumbling aggrievedly, "I've already earned six billion. Can't I be your wife now?"

He wakes up with a hangover to find the room in obvious disarray and a divorce agreement left by Xia Qianyan. Lin Jinxing immediately charters a plane and chases him overseas.

Xia Qianyan is by the pool, chatting and laughing with a man sporting a visible six-pack, his eyes brimming with flirtation.

Lin Jinxing charges over and plants himself between Xia Qianyan and the man, roaring, "You bastard, stay away from my Lord Wife!"

When they agree to marry, Xia Qianyan firmly emphasizes, "Don't think I'll sleep with you."

Lin Jinxing scoffs. "You're the one who shouldn't imagine I'll fall for you."

Later, they both break their promises.
