"Friends, this is just too hard to write. I think I'll write about a cannon-fodder character first."
A storybook titled The Runaway Pretty Immortal Master and Her Sickly Demon King suddenly appeared in the Three Realms. According to those in the know, the immortal master in the book was Lian Huo, a revered deity of the Immortal Realm, while the demon king was Qi Sang, a retired demon king from the Demon Realm who was gravely ill and beyond help.
The relationship between a deity and a demon, who had no connection whatsoever, was made to seem terribly real by this storybook, which had become famous throughout the Three Realms.
One day, the demon king was engrossed in the book, studying the positions described in it, when a noble of incomparable importance suddenly fell from the sky. It was none other than the other protagonist of the book.
The revered deity had gotten drunk and accidentally wandered into a demon's lair. The demon king carried him back to the Heavenly Court, and so the fictional storybook became reality. The writer grew even more brazen, and now the only thing left for the two of them to do was have a baby.
The revered deity held up the book and asked the demon king, "What kind of creature do you think we'd have if the two of us really had a baby?"
The demon king replied, "A god-demon?"
A celestial goose serving tea overheard the conversation. The Three Realms erupted at once. Many fairies and little demons embraced and wept, burying the hatchet. "Our ship is real!"
Bonus Scene:
Rumor had it that the revered deity Lian Huo got drunk and barged into a fairy's home, offending her and smashing the place to pieces. The fairy had only recently ascended to immortality and felt deeply humiliated, spending every day in tears.
Lord Fushi personally drafted a marriage proposal on the deity's behalf.
On the day the betrothal gifts were delivered, the fairy emerged in red robes. Her beauty was unparalleled, and all the immortals marveled at her.
The fairy sneered. "Hah. He can go marry his own grandfather."
The immortals froze. Weren't fairies supposed to be women? Why was this one a man?
A piece of juicy gossip soon spread: not only was the fairy the deity intended to marry a man, he was also the retired demon king of the Demon Realm.
That very night, when the arrogant demon king learned it had been the deity's idea, he begged the deity to forgive him, eager to transform into a peacock and show off, just so the deity would give him a title, even if it meant being a concubine.
The immortals: How utterly improper!
The demons: My eyes!
Warnings: 1. One-on-one romance, an innocent relationship, mutual devotion, and genuine sweetness.
2. The perpetually single, single-minded, stubborn old tree bottom x the flirtatious top with plenty of scandalous rumors and a never-ending supply of sweet talk.
3. Saving a spot for now~
Theme: Keep moving forward, and a way out will always appear.
