Plot 1: The rift between Fukuzawa Yukichi and Mori Ogai begins to show

Mori Ogai: Can't Ren help Akiko recover either?

Kazama Ren: No. Some things are lost once you miss your chance. If you can't make use of someone, it's better to let them go. You might get an unexpected bonus out of it.

Mori Ogai: That makes sense.

Plot 2: Against Rimbaud in his pocket dimension

Kazama Ren: Key that holds the power of darkness, reveal your true strength. By our contract, I, Kazama Ren, command you: Break the seal.

Rimbaud/Dazai Osamu/Nakahara Chuuya: Don't you have no ability?

Kazama Ren: I really don't have an ability.

Rimbaud promptly collapsed, just as expected.

Dazai Osamu/Nakahara Chuuya: You have to be kidding! We fought until we were exhausted, and all you did was raise your staff and say a few words, and the Transcendent fell!

Kazama Ren: You wouldn't understand what it feels like to have all your magic drained.

Plot 3: Faking Oda's death to trick Dazai into leaving the organization

Dazai Osamu: Was all that really necessary? You went through so much trouble to make me leave.

Dazai Osamu: I want to go back! That was my money.

Plot 4: Cerberus and Yue appear

Cerberus/Yue: Kuro!
