Black Koi

For thousands of years, Hao Yun trained without rest, hoping to transform into a dragon and ascend to immortality.

But when the moment of ascension came and heavenly lightning struck, he learned the truth: as a black koi, he was born to bring people nothing but bad luck. The overwhelming baleful energy within him meant he was doomed to fail.

Hao Yun was bound to a Merit System, which told him he could ascend as long as he accumulated enough merit.

But he had already given up on ascending. All he wanted was to eat, sleep, and laze around...

He went to school, and the school blew up.

He became a pretty-boy celebrity, and no matter who he worked with or what show he appeared in, people started trashing him before it even aired.

The more people bashed him, the higher the viewership climbed.

Even the biggest names in show business got dragged through the mud when they worked with him.

Strangely, the worse his reputation got, the more popular he became. Before he knew it, he was a legendary Best Actor!

He was supposedly hated by the entire internet, but only later did Hao Yun discover that all those overwhelming numbers of haters were actually his most devoted fans, the kind who loved him so much that they couldn't help acting like haters.
