After Giving Up on Winning Over the Male Lead

[Completed Short Story: Lan Ke]

My name is Ren Song Song.

I'm a cripple. I can guess what people think of me and what they'll say about me.

That's just how pointless this world is: people either pity you or look down on you.

I won't deny that some people are kind, but I haven't met any, and I don't want to anymore. I don't want to meet anyone who's too good to me, either. Warm water slowly boils a frog, and I'm afraid I'll become that ridiculous frog.

But then Wu Ruo appeared. So let her be that frog.

-- Someone Named Ren's Diary

Note: The blurb is written as a first-person diary by Miss Ren, while the story itself is told in third person from Miss Wu's perspective.

The whole story is set on a university campus.

A single-minded young lady and a little cripple with two faces

Content warnings:

1. The recipient is an adorable little cripple. Her foot will not be healed.

2. The aggressor is a mission-taker who has transmigrated through nine worlds, with a slight golden finger. Early on, she'll pursue the original story's male lead, but there won't be any overly intimate behavior. She'll stop pursuing him as soon as she realizes she has feelings for the recipient.

3. The aggressor spoils the recipient a lot at first, and later they spoil each other.

4. Updates will be slow. I'll try to post three thousand words a day after launching the story on the day of the college entrance exams.

Coming next:

The Supporting Female Character Rescue Plan

A story about an author who transmigrates into her own novel to save the villainous supporting female character.

[Anthology]

Different authors and different supporting female characters, chosen according to my own tastes.

All the authors transmigrate into the story after it has reached its "The End" ending, and then save the supporting female characters.

Stories already drafted:

1. Meeting that arrogant, clueless, bankrupt supporting female character at the matchmaking corner (marriage first, love later)

Theme: Hold on to hope, look up at the stars, and work hard in practical ways to make your dreams come true.
