Everyday Spoiling of Her Husband in the 1970s

How insecure can a person get?

Reborn Jian Jian thinks she knows a thing or two about that.

When she was sixteen, Liu Chen got into the best university in the country. Banners were hung all over the village, and he was surrounded by a crowd. She couldn't even squeeze her way in, and could only catch a glimpse of him from the very edge.

When Liu Chen came to her house to ask for her hand in marriage, Jian Jian shut the door in his face and called him shameless. Only after he left did she finally break down and cry.

Later, Jian Jian became a widow, while Liu Chen became a promising university student.

After all sorts of unexpected turns, they still got married.

Jian Jian didn't want other people to laugh at Liu Chen, so she insisted they divorce.

Liu Chen had always indulged her every wish, but this was the one thing he wouldn't discuss. He always refused coldly.

To get a divorce, Jian Jian did many things to hurt him.

She thought that if she acted badly enough, Liu Chen would finally come to his senses and find a woman who deserved him.

In the end, she got her wish and was left alone.

Many years later, she received a package

Liu Chen had died in an accident while taking part in a volunteer teaching program. The only thing found beside him was this diary, so it was sent to her.

It turned out that after their divorce, he had been alone all along.

She had left him, but he hadn't gone looking for someone better. Instead, he had lived a miserable life.

Even up to the moment he died, he had never stopped thinking of her.

One day after she was reborn,

Liu Chen came home from work and was surprised to see his wife busy in the kitchen.

Their eyes met as she came out carrying a pot of soup. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he suddenly turned cold. "What are you up to now? Jian Jian, I won't divorce you. Stop trying to scheme your way into it."

Jian Jian froze, then smiled. "You said it, not me. We're not getting divorced. We'll spend the rest of our lives together."
