I Make Games in the Interstellar Era

[Revising + rewriting more than half the book] Xu Piao died and came back to life. In the blink of an eye, she transmigrated into an interstellar online-game romance novel and became a supporting female character who shared her name. In this interstellar world, everyone was addicted to the internet and games reigned supreme. The male and female leads were both top players in a hugely popular full-dive game, while the supporting character named Xu Piao was a lousy player who spent every day hanging around them, annoying them and pushing their romance along. But that wasn't important. Before she transmigrated, Xu Piao had been a game developer. Before she could even get excited about finally experiencing a full-dive game in her lifetime, she discovered that making games in this interstellar world was surprisingly simple. No modeling, no artwork. As long as you had mental power, you could create an entire game from scratch all by yourself! Who would keep hanging around the leads and making herself a nuisance when she had that kind of power! Xu Piao sold her account overnight and devoted herself to game development. "I don't have the money to make a massive multiplayer game, so I'll start with a pay-to-win (crossed out) gacha character-raising game." A month later, a gacha game called Shan Hai Lu, designed to fleece players (crossed out), burst onto the scene. The people of this interstellar world had only ever played competitive games. How could they have seen a gacha scheme like this before? They gingerly dipped their toes in to try it out, and then... "Rigged! It's absolutely rigged! Is it fair that I did a thousand pulls and still didn't get a character I don't own?" "I went broke pulling for Sister Nuwa, but she's just so irresistible, sob! I want to cling to her tail while grinding dungeons!" "I'm totally new. How strong is the Tongtian Jiaozhu? Is he worth raising?" "Hurry up and release Xihe and Wangshu's story! I'm ready to die on this ship, Sun and Moon Sisters!" "..." Later on, some people got hooked on farming and foraging by the sea in Peach Blossom Spring. Some got hooked on killing chickens, some reveled in the martial world, while others collected outfits on the fashion continent... Please note: 1. The first game to appear is a gacha game. Farming, chicken-killing, otome, MMORPGs (similar to Jian Wang 3, A Certain Blade, and A Certain Chill), dress-up, and other games will gradually appear later. 2. All the games take place in full dive, including the gacha game, where players can also cuddle up to the characters they pull. 3. The male lead is just a background character: a white-haired, dark-skinned robot who is a nurturing househusband. He's simply a supportive partner. 4. The setting serves the story. It's a typical interstellar future where everything except technology has regressed. 5. This isn't written by a professional game designer. Just read it for fun. Coming soon: The Empress and Emperor Simulator An Lin is a fan of strategy and management games. One day, someone recommended a game called Emperor Simulator. Excited, she stayed up all night playing it. Infrastructure, establishing the imperial examinations, developing agriculture, training troops, unifying the realm... The game offered many ways to play, but An Lin was focused on infrastructure and had no interest in opening a harem. She poured all the funds meant for selecting consorts into agriculture instead. But as she played, people started sending male favorites to the emperor?? Woman on the subway, staring at her phone and frowning. An Lin, who was playing this game purely as a strategy and management game: Get lost. She immediately lost interest, shut down the game, and went to sleep. But she never expected that when she woke up, she would have become the emperor for real, with the Emperor Simulator in tow. And she discovered that there wasn't just an Emperor Simulator: it was also linked to an Empress Simulator. The only catch was that she had to run both simulators at once, splitting her attention between them. After An Lin got the hang of running both at once, she found a new use for the Empress Simulator. That was to process memorials together! So every day, when An Lin processed memorials, she would open both her emperor and empress accounts and handle them together in the imperial study. Double the speed, and twice the delight! She could even take turns, letting one rest while the other kept going. But to everyone else, it looked like this: "His Majesty can't live without Her Majesty!" "He loves her so much!" "She loves him just as much!" "Another day of crying over the divine love between the emperor and empress!" Please note: 1. The heroine is an infrastructure-obsessed workaholic. 2. A romance in the eyes of others, but actually a two-account, pseudo-selfcest pairing. Theme: Spreading Chinese culture across the stars
