Freshman Lu Zhu falls in love with him at first sight. After an audacious confession, she begins pursuing him relentlessly.

When he enters a competition, she joins the support crew. She carries thirty jin of equipment from the foot of the mountain to the summit without a word of complaint.

When he urgently needs market data, she stays up all night compiling it despite having a fever of 39 degrees.

When he says, "Not good enough," she smiles and tosses the model she poured her heart and soul into straight into the trash. Her hands are covered in wounds.

At last, she succeeds in winning this favored child of heaven, leaving everyone in disbelief.

"Zhu Zhu, do you like this island?"

Lu Zhu wraps her arms around his, blinking her clear puppy eyes.

"Tian Tian changed his hairstyle? Wow, it went straight to my heart."

"Didn't I comfort you just last night?"

"I really like the island. It'd be even better if we had some people here to liven things up."

"I changed my hairstyle last week," Shen Junze scoffs. "You comforted me last night, so you can't do it today? You don't want to get married as freshmen, fine. You don't even want to be alone with me? Lu Zhu, are you trying to break up with me again?"

The first time they meet.

Xu Leyan carries a brand-new insulated food container and waits outside the Yuan Sheng Group building until two in the morning, hoping to catch the newly appointed head of the Sheng Group as he passes by.

Through the car window, Sheng Zewen sees the strange girl pursuing him. Her lips have turned purple from the bitter cold, but she carefully shields the food container in her arms. She looks like a stalker with no sense of boundaries.

He gestures to the driver with an indifferent expression, telling him to leave.

The car speeds past the girl.

Later.

Xu Leyan stands in a hospital corridor, gazing at him with eyes blazing like fire, full of tenderness.

"Mr. Sheng, I have a rare blood type too. I'm willing to donate bone marrow to your younger sister."

The man lowers his eyes and notices that the girl before him has a delicate frame, as if someone could snap her at any moment.

It feels as though a frail little cat has lightly scratched at his heart with its claws.

He smiles faintly.

"Tell me, what do you want in return?"

"Please save my boyfriend."

In a courtyard on the outskirts, rain beats against the banana trees, and fallen leaves cover the ground.

The girl's back is flushed red, and her arms weakly push her up from the rattan chair. Her voice breaks apart like beads slipping from a snapped string.

"...You said... one thing for another, and that you'd... let me go..."

The man raises his eyes, his nose lightly brushing her earlobe. His deep-set eyes gaze steadily at her, his voice gentle yet domineering.

"Yanyan, if I won't let you go, where can you run?"
