Years later, when the girl's true background finally came to light, he once again backed down, deciding to let her go for the sake of her future. He lived in darkness, while she belonged in the light. If he kept her by his side for his own selfish reasons, her talents would stay buried forever. He couldn't do that.

The day the girl's ability was lifted and she forgot him, she signed the divorce papers in a daze.

But years later, when the little girl had grown into a woman worth billions and returned to Yokohama, she sat in the luxurious office of the Mafia boss. Her gentle voice brooked no argument.

Content warnings and things to know before reading:

1. The timeline is chaotic throughout (I didn't work it out properly while writing, and the outline was already set, so I couldn't change it. Just enjoy the plot). There are original details everywhere. Please consider yourself warned that everyone may be OOC (...).

2. The female lead is a saintly, angelic type. She values life above all. She doesn't exact blood for blood, but she's very good at making her enemies miserable (...). Her trash-talk skill tree is maxed out, and she's always ready to steal the bamboo shoots from the national treasure.

3. Her starting skills are multilingualism and excellent taste. She's highly intelligent, highly educated, highly alert to danger, and very well-mannered (though the male lead can make her disappear in an instant). She's a ruthless money-making machine, but physically weak and useless in a fight. Her ability is powerful, but it's decorative, and she's too lazy to use it.

4. (Important!) The male lead is written as a real Mafia member, with bad habits and not much education. The female lead will make the Hat Guy quit smoking. She's so exceptional that the male lead feels inferior. There is no pre-marriage romance; the story jumps straight to married life with lots of sexual intimacy (...).

5. As usual, the female lead grows over time. The story is slow-paced and focuses on her personal growth.

6. (Important!) The male lead marries into her family! He leaves the Mafia! The Mafia is a criminal organization, period. It can't be redeemed. Fans of Mori and Akutagawa, stay away to avoid getting hurt.

8. The female lead doesn't participate in any organization affairs. She judges the issue, not the person, and sides with what's right instead of family. But she'll still take the organization's side against her better judgment when it comes to Oda and Izumi Kyoka.

9. It later turns out that there was an error in the age of the female lead's biological father, but the outline is already set and I don't want to change it. Her biological father is Francis, and in this story he's ten years older than in canon. I haven't read the manga; this is based on the anime plus my own invention. You can point out errors, but even if I make changes, I won't change them in this story.

10. Everyone's height is kept vague throughout because the male lead is too short. I hope he grows a little at twenty-three (...).

Please read the content warnings before you start!

1. The pairing is Oda Sakunosuke. I'm not sure I can capture the male lead's personality well, but I'll try to write him as a fatherly boyfriend (...).

2. The female lead is an ordinary, serious police officer, an absolute champion of justice, and a Sixth King who came to power halfway through. She works as a police officer in Tokyo in the first half, then transfers to Kanagawa. The Port Mafia aren't good people except when protecting Yokohama. The female lead will spend her whole life on a fixed police salary, living frugally and never getting rich. (Just like me right now x) This is a rookie police officer's growth story, from a novice to someone more mature.

3. The plot is chaotic. The greatness belongs to the original author; the OOC is mine. Treat any differences from canon as my own settings.

4. You could practically read this as having no couple. The male lead is mostly in the background, helping at home while supporting the female lead. They're both used to having the other around and support each other, with almost no romance. The focus is on their careers.

5. I have a soft spot for the Hat Guy, so there will be lots of scenes with the female lead and him. They interact often at work, but they're only friends. They bicker like a timid dog and only fight with words, never fists. They're on opposing sides and neither will cross that line. There is no romantic or flirtatious subplot between them. Both of their personalities are completely unrestrained when they're together.

6. Oda and the female lead will rack their brains and do everything they can to save Dazai, who is depressed and always trying to get himself killed.

7. The Russian will die early.

8. For relevant details, I'll use information about Japan when I can find it. When I can't, I'll use Chinese sources to fill in the gaps.

9. If you can't stand it, please leave and find another story. No need to tell me if you're dropping it. The main plot is complete, and I won't change it because of reader comments.

10. This is mainly a Bungou Stray Dogs story. The Detective Conan plot is minor and barely involves any popular Conan characters (including, but not limited to, the Police Academy Five and the Silver Bullet. Only Egghead will make a brief guest appearance; nobody else will show up).
