A continuation of the story of the little fox and Guoguang. It takes place two hundred years after they got married.

As a monster who used to be human, after staying in the same place for over a hundred years, you eventually get a little bored.

"Why don't we go see the world?"

He had expected the new journey to be exciting and fun. As it turned out, he was getting ahead of himself.

The new world was crawling with zombies, which was bad enough. But then a huge disaster struck from the start: a bolt of lightning sent his wife's soul somewhere unknown. Holding the little fox's body, he wore a complicated expression.

What else could he do? Go find her!

Read before starting:

1. This is a sequel to The Little Fox's Revenge. It takes place two hundred years after the two get married. If you have a serious issue with human-monster relationships, this isn't for you. You're warmly welcome to read the first story, which is complete.

2. This story is a product of an overactive imagination. I wrote it to let characters I love, who died in the original work, live on.

3. This is my first time writing in the Bungo Stray Dogs fandom. If characters are out of character, or their thinking differs from the author's or from the characters in the story, please click the X in the upper-right corner. This is just for my own amusement. [Read the warnings before opening the story!] This is the final fanfic featuring Guoguang as the male lead. The next story will switch to a different work and a different male lead.

A cute little girl moves in next door to the future pillar of Seigaku. But after an accident, she loses both her parents.

"Guoguang, her parents are gone. You have to take good care of her."

Though he was only two years older than her, he decided to take responsibility. He would be her guide, hold her hand, teach her in place of her parents, and watch her grow up.

The little girl was gentle and adorable. What made him happiest was that she was willing to take his advice and play tennis. She studied the game diligently and was obedient. Her talent was every bit as great as his. He believed that one day she would aim for the national tournament just like him...

He was mistaken. He had no idea why, but he had somehow trained the little girl into a lazy lump who wouldn't move unless prodded and had no desire to win.

Was there something wrong with the way he taught her?

The little girl liked him and stuck close to him. She wanted to spend every moment by his side.

"Guoguang, can you stay by my side forever?"

"I can."

But time passed, and when he tried to pursue his own dream, he discovered that he had to choose between staying by her side and making his dream come true.

He decided to leave in order to give her a stable future.

The little girl looked at him, no longer gentle and obedient as she had been before.

"I hope you won't regret making this choice."

He was only leaving for a while. Once he achieved his dream, he would come back. He hardened his heart and left. But he never expected that as soon as he set foot outside the country, the little girl's personality would change completely.

The road to achieving his dream was rough. Just as he was about to walk into a dead end in pursuit of it, the little girl appeared before him. Before he could react, she had climbed higher than him and forcefully pulled him away.

"I'll make your dream come true in my own way. This time, I'll be your guide."

Author's warnings:

1. This story came about because I got fed up with the plot of NPOT. The story changes things starting in the first year of junior high! Mura won't become seriously ill! The male lead won't get hurt! Fans who respect the original work, especially the NPOT storyline, run while you can!

2. Everyone is a villain, including the two members of the German team and the sponsors. Niki is the only decent person in this story. Yamato won't have a single good thing happen to him, and he'll have no good days. He'll be ruined and disgraced for sure. Yamato fans, run! Casual fans, run too! Anyone who can't bear to see him suffer, run!

3. The female lead is exceptionally skilled at tennis. She runs faster than the male lead.

4. This is my last story with Guoguang as the male lead. I'll write something else next time. XF's one NPOT story has exhausted all the love I've had for this series over the years.

5. As always, this is a coming-of-age story about the female lead. She's a strong woman. Her gentleness is entirely an act she puts on for the male lead.

Before the hat guy had a hat, he found a beautiful, doll-like little girl near the rain-soaked alley in the shape of a mortar. The girl was kindhearted and beautiful. While being chased and running for her life, she accidentally stepped on him, then made it up to him with a delicious pizza.

So he helped beat up the bad guys and took her in.

But the cute, harmless, homeless little girl in ragged clothes who looked so pitiful.jpg turned out to be a ruthless money-making machine, and he found her terrifying.

Life is cheap in the slums, but when he was gravely injured, she spent every last penny she had to snatch him back from death.

"I can earn the money back, but I only have one you. No matter how much it costs, I'll keep you alive, because you deserve to live."

On the day the little girl was adopted because good deeds are rewarded, she handed him her million in savings.

"Some things can be fixed with money when they happen, but once you miss your chance, no amount of money can bring them back. So I'm leaving this money with you. Spend it if you ever need it."

Years later, he had become a core member of the organization. Then he saw her, grieving a sudden disaster in her family and ready to give up on life. He did everything he could to save her.

"Your parents are gone, but I'll give you a new family. Do you want that?"

"I do."

And so they got together.

But years later, when the truth about the little girl's background finally came to light, he backed away again and decided to let her go for the sake of her future. He lived in darkness, while she belonged in the light. He couldn't keep her by his side for his own selfish reasons and let her talents stay buried forever. He couldn't do that.

The little girl glared at him, tossed out a bitter "Just you wait," signed the divorce papers, and left in a huff.

But years later, when the little girl had grown into a woman worth billions and returned to Yokohama, she sat in the Mafia boss's luxurious office. Her voice was gentle, yet left no room for anyone to question her.

"Please honor the promise you made back then, Mr. Mori."

She stood and walked over to him.

"Chuuya, will you marry into my family? I've prepared the bride price."

This story is also known as Black and White and Light and Darkness.

Warnings and things to note before reading:

1. The timeline is chaotic throughout. I didn't get it sorted out while writing, and the outline was already set, so it was hard to change. Just enjoy the plot for what it is. There are tons of original headcanons, so here's an advance warning that everyone may be out of character (...).

2. The female lead is a saintly little angel, and she values life above all else. She doesn't repay blood debts with blood, but she's very good at making life difficult for her enemies (...). She's maxed out her verbal sparring skill tree and can challenge the national treasure for bamboo shoots at any time.

3. Her starting skills are multilingualism and excellent taste. She's highly intelligent, well educated, acutely aware of danger, and well brought up. (The male lead can make her vanish in an instant.) She's a ruthless money-making machine and physically weak.

4. (Important!) The male lead is written as a real Mafia member. He'll have bad habits, and his education level won't be very high. The hat guy will quit smoking. The female lead is so outstanding that the male lead feels inferior. There will be misunderstandings, melodrama, and a slight pursuit-of-the-wife arc. There is no romance before marriage.
